

India’s Paradip Port in the eastern state of Odisha has made history by achieving the fastest-ever 100 MMT cargo throughput in a fiscal year since its inception on 27th November.
This is the 9th consecutive year that the port has crossed the 100 MMT mark and clocked 100.15 MMT, showing a growth of 4.78% on a year-on-year basis.
It has achieved the feat 12 days earlier than the last fiscal year.
In FY 2024-25, the mark of 100 MT was touched on December 9, 2024. The record was made in 241 days in the current fiscal year against 253 days in the previous financial year.
Despite difficulties and market ups and downs, the port has continued to achieve new heights.
Modern and fast operations, system improvements and constant support from stakeholders have allowed the port to maintain its position and stay ahead.
