First ECO Series Vessel Delivered To Wilson

Norwegian short-sea shipowner Wilson ASA yesterday announced the delivery of WILSON ECO I being the very first vessel in their new ECO series, and the first of 14 vessels in our extensive newbuilding program at Udupi Cochin Shipyard in India.

The WILSON ECO I is designed by Dutch company Conoship International, and the vessel is built according to the CIP3800 design, which places strong emphasis on energy efficiency, operational flexibility, and environmental performance.

The newbuild vessel is equipped with diesel-electric propulsion and prepared for wind-assisted system,so the vessel is future-proofed for upcoming innovations.

Wilson ASA states that the WILSON ECO I scores 30% below the IMO’s required EEDI for 2025, reflecting significant reductions in estimated greenhouse gas emissions per transported cargo unit.
