PIL’s LNG-powered KOTA ODYSSEY debuts at Aqaba
Pacific International Lines (PIL) celebrated the maiden call of KOTA ODYSSEY, its first LNG-powered vessel in the Red Sea, at Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT). The ship had previously made its first call to Saudi Arabia earlier this month.
The arrival ceremony was hosted by PIL’s Regional Head for the Middle East, Horn of Africa & East Africa. Distinguished guests included the Chief Commissioner of ASEZA, leadership from Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), Aqaba Port Marine Services Company (APMSCO), and the Jordan Maritime Commission (JMC).

ASEZA highlighted the milestone’s importance for Jordan’s maritime and logistics sectors. The event received coverage on national TV, newspapers, and other media outlets.
KOTA ODYSSEY represents PIL’s push toward a greener, LNG-powered fleet. The vessel enhances sustainable shipping solutions while expanding network reach and capacity across the Red Sea.
