The repair process will unfold in stages; initially shifting traffic onto one side while work occurs on another side before winter sets in—then returning to normal flow until spring when further adjustments are made.
Expect some delays along Route 5S during construction; message boards will keep drivers informed about updates and speed limits through work zones where fines double for violations.
“As we dive into construction season, we urge everyone to slow down around work areas—for everyone’s safety,” emphasized an authority representative.
Looking ahead, their Capital Plan has allocated $2.7 billion towards infrastructure enhancements between now and late decade! Last year alone saw around four hundred million toll transactions with motorists covering over eight billion miles on this extensive network.
