MAN Energy Solutions Rebrands as ‘Everllence’ to Embrace a New Era of Innovation

A recent publication by Everllence, formerly known as MAN Energy Solutions, highlights teh company’s rebranding journey. The name change was officially announced on May 27 during a ceremony at their headquarters in Augsburg, Germany, with similar events taking place in other major European cities like Berlin and Copenhagen.

This new identity signifies Everllence’s commitment to providing innovative clean energy solutions for industries grappling with emission reduction challenges. Key sectors impacted include shipping, power generation, and heavy manufacturing.

Uwe Lauber, the CEO of Everllence, emphasized that this name change aligns perfectly with their ongoing strategy dubbed “Moving big things to zero,” which prioritizes decarbonization and operational efficiency. He pointed out that the company has evolved beyond just engines and turbomachinery; it now also focuses on technologies such as large heat pumps and carbon capture systems while actively supporting the hydrogen economy.

Gunnar Kilian, who chairs the supervisory Board of Everllence and is part of Volkswagen Group’s board, noted that this rebranding reflects a important transformation into a global leader in sustainable technology. he underscored the company’s notable 250-year legacy of innovation while reaffirming its dedication to climate protection and advancing mechanical engineering both in Germany and worldwide.

Despite adopting a fresh identity as Everllence,there will be no alterations to its existing product lineup or services since it remains under the volkswagen Group umbrella.

So why “Everllence”? The name cleverly merges “ever” — symbolizing its rich history of continuous innovation — with “excellence,” which underscores its commitment to high-quality engineering practices. Over two centuries ago, this company pioneered numerous industrial milestones including creating the first diesel engine and developing groundbreaking technologies like wind turbines.

This isn’t their first rebranding effort; back in 2018 they transitioned from MAN Diesel & Turbo to MAN Energy Solutions to better reflect their focus on emission reductions across various sectors. This shift paved the way for advanced technologies aimed at minimizing emissions from challenging industries today. Their current initiatives include marine engines designed for low-emission fuels alongside retrofit systems that substantially lower CO₂ emissions.

Additionally, they are involved in constructing large-scale heat pumps intended for decarbonizing urban heating systems while also innovating carbon capture solutions aimed at mitigating unavoidable industrial emissions.
