UK Freight Association Welcomes New Leadership Team: Chair and Vice-Chair Appointed
According to a recent declaration from the British International Freight Association (BIFA), Keith Baguley has taken over the role of national chair, succeeding Charles Hogg for a two-year term. Baguley, who serves as a senior manager at Grimaldi Group—a member of BIFA—has been actively involved in the association as vice-chair for the past two years and has led BIFA’s Merseyside region since 2018.
Joining him in leadership is Ian Mallon, managing director at neon Freight. With more than 20 years under his belt in logistics and freight forwarding, Mallon brings valuable expertise to his new position as vice-chair.
Charles Hogg, who previously held the chair position and is currently chief commercial officer at Unsworth, will now serve as immediate past chair for another two years.
Steve Parker, BIFA’s director general, expressed gratitude towards Hogg for his long-standing contributions while also welcoming Baguley and Mallon into their new roles. He noted that their extensive backgrounds in successful logistics firms will significantly benefit both BIFA and its members moving forward.
This transition highlights not just a change in leadership but also an prospect for fresh perspectives within the organization. As industries evolve globally—much like how companies are adapting to digital transformations—the insights from leaders like Baguley and Mallon could steer BIFA toward innovative solutions that address contemporary challenges faced by freight professionals today.
