SIMA Peru completes modernisation of Peruvian Navy submarine

Prior to delivery, the submarine successfully completed a series of tests, including stability, watertightness, navigation, immersion, and weapons and communications systems trials.

SIMA Peru stated that the experience gained from the project strengthens the country's capability to undertake large-scale naval projects. It also expressed confidence that integrating the modernised submarine into the fleet enhances the Peruvian Navy’s deterrence and maritime surveillance capabilities.
