According to a recent report from Mint, India’s Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) is set to take a notable step by acquiring a majority stake in Sri Lanka’s premier shipyard, Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC). This marks MDL’s inaugural venture into international shipbuilding and is being hailed as a pivotal moment for India’s defense landscape and its diplomatic strategy.
