Cargojet Secures New Deal with Amazon, Strengthening Logistics Partnership
As reported by Cargojet, the Canadian freighter airline has renewed its Air Transportation Services Agreement with Amazon Canada Fulfilment Services for an additional four years, extending operations until march 31, 2029. Furthermore, Amazon holds the option to extend this agreement until March 31, 2031.
“This long-term contract highlights Cargojet’s integral position within Amazon’s logistics framework. Our dedicated team at Cargojet is key to our daily achievements,” stated Ajay Virmani, executive chairman of Cargojet.
Based in mississauga, Ontario, Cargojet has partnered with Amazon for over five years now.
The e-commerce titan relies on Cargojet’s overnight air network and charter services to efficiently transport packages from its facilities to various last-mile carriers before they reach customers. Notably, in 2019, Amazon took a minority stake in the company. The retail giant has also made investments in U.S.-based freight operators like ATSG and atlas Air.
