Oman Air Cargo Expands Reach to Amsterdam Through Partnership with Swissport
According to a recent declaration, Oman Air Cargo has teamed up with Swissport to manage its ground operations at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS). The inaugural flight from Muscat (MCT) touched down on July 1st, 2025.
This new MCT-AMS route will run four times weekly and is part of Oman air’s strategy to broaden its European presence.
The Boeing 787-9 aircraft, capable of transporting between 14 and 18 metric tonnes, was loaded with essential goods such as pharmaceuticals and engineering components, along with express deliveries.
Oman Air Cargo will utilize Swissport’s expansive CEIV-certified facility spanning 20,000 square meters located in Terminal 11 at AMS.
“Europe represents a significant market for us. Amsterdam serves as a strategic hub that complements our growing network,” stated Claudius Pereira, senior Manager – Cargo Commercial Operations at Oman Air.
“Swissport’s dedication to high-quality service aligns perfectly with our goals at Schiphol. We are eager to collaborate closely with them to provide outstanding service for our customers,” he added.
“We’re excited about the collaboration ahead. Our teams are committed to ensuring that this cargo link between Muscat and Amsterdam thrives,” remarked jeroen J. Giling, Head of Cargo for the Netherlands at Swissport.
The launch was celebrated by Oman Air passengers in the Business Class Check-in Area at Muscat International Airport before continuing festivities in the oneworld lounge in Amsterdam—an event made even more special as Oman Air joined the alliance just last month (June 2025).
