Orsted's Sunrise Wind to challenge US suspension of wind project lease

"Sunrise Wind has spent and committed billions of dollars in reliance upon, and has met the requests of, a thorough review process," Orsted added.

The complaint was filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.

Last week, Revolution Wind, a 50-50 joint venture between Orsted and Global Infrastructure Partners' Skyborn Renewables, and Norwegian energy group Equinor filed complaints challenging orders passed by US Department of the Interior order to suspend their wind projects.
