Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto, Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) announced the official launch of “OceanCare”, a comprehensive wellbeing support program developed for seafarers serving on its vessels worldwide.

The program commenced on May 1, 2025, and is designed to provide easily accessible and confidential mental health support services to all MOL seafarers and their families.

Recognizing the unique challenges that seafarers often face due to the nature of their work, “OceanCare” introduces an independent and confidential support system that allows seafarers or their families to voluntarily seek advice, assistance and support to improve their wellbeing.

“OceanCare” is being launched in collaboration with The Mission to Seafarers (MtS) UK, a global maritime charity organization with over 160 years of experience in providing support to seafarers. At the heart of this initiative is the pioneering appointment of a dedicated Welfare Officer.
