

Port Everglades has been ranked among the top 20% of container ports worldwide, holding the No. 3 position in North America and the No. 1 ranking in Florida, according to the 2024 Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) released this week by the World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence.
The port secured the No. 67 position globally, a slight change from its No. 65 rank in the previous CPPI report. The CPPI evaluates container ports on six key performance measures, including the speed with which a vessel moves to a berth, the efficiency of container handling, and the time taken for a vessel to exit the port.
The 2024 CPPI report includes data from 403 ports worldwide, covering more than 175,000 vessel calls and 247 million cargo moves during the calendar year, making it one of the most detailed global assessments of port performance.
