

A tanker anchored about 23 nautical miles east of Fujairah has reported being hit by an unknown projectile, according to UK Maritime Trade Operations.
The incident happened late Monday night and caused minor structural damage to the vessel.
No crew members were injured and no pollution has been reported.
The tanker reported the strike shortly after 2300 GMT while it was at anchor off Fujairah, which is a key oil storage and bunkering hub in the United Arab Emirates.
Early reports said the vessel was hit by an unknown object that damaged part of its structure.
In a later update, the vessel’s company security officer said initial findings suggest the ship was likely struck by falling debris from aerial interceptions nearby, rather than a direct attack.
Based on this, UKMTO has reclassified the case as “suspicious activity.” All crew onboard were confirmed safe, and there was no environmental impact.
