The Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, in collaboration with the Organization for Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA), has announced that the electronic platform for submitting Child Benefit applications, A21, will re-open at 08:00 on Monday, March 31, 2025. The platform will remain open until April 30, 2025, at 18:00.
Families eligible for Child Benefit can submit their applications via the IDIKA platform (www.idika.gr) or through the OPEKA website (www.opeka.gr), using their personal Taxisnet access codes. The benefit amount will be determined based on the dependent children declared in the application for 2025 and the family income for the 2023 tax year. For families who have already submitted their 2024 tax returns, the income from this year will be used for subsequent calculations.
Important Conditions for Eligibility
To qualify for the benefit, applicants must ensure that their dependent children are attending compulsory education, from pre-kindergarten to high school. The adequacy of the children’s attendance will also be verified.
When completing the A21 application, the following information about each child must be entered:
- The name of the school unit
- The class of study
- The child’s registration number
