During the White House celebrations for Greece’s Independence Day on March
During the White House celebrations for Greece’s Independence Day on March 25, U.S. President Donald Trump offered warm words for Greece, signaling a keen interest in the country. Reports suggest that this interest may extend beyond diplomatic relations to potential real estate investments, including the possible construction of a Trump Tower in Greece.
“We appreciate Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ support in our economic and diplomatic cooperation, as we create opportunities for collaboration in key sectors such as energy, science, technology, shipping, supply chains, and defense,” Trump’s statement read in recognition of Greece’s national holiday.
Sources indicate that Trump’s interest in Greece might not be limited to U.S.-Greece relations but could also involve personal business ventures. The Trump Organization is reportedly scouting locations in Greece to build a Trump Tower—the first of its kind in Europe, with various sites being under consideration, including the Athenian Riviera and other prime locations in Attica and beyond.
In the coming months, a close associate of the president, potentially one of his two sons, Donald Trump Jr. or Eric Trump, is expected to visit Greece. Both hold executive vice president positions in the Trump Organization and play a key role in its expansion strategies.
