Greece-based Nasdaq listed shipowner OceanPal Inc. through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary has signed a memorandum of agreement to sell to a third party its panamax bulk carrier.
The shipowner and operator of dry bulk vessels and product tankers sold to an undisclosed third party the 2004-built dry bulk vessel Protefs (73,630-dwt).
The Jiangnan shipyard-built unit was sold for a price of $7m before commissions with delivery to the buyer no later than June 17.
Once the deal is closed, the Semiramis Paliou-backed company will have a fleet portfolio of two 2005-built panamax dry bulk vessels and an MR2 tanker vessel.
Earlier this year, the shipowner sold to an undisclosed third party the 171,810-dwt Salt Lake City, a 2005-built vessel built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co. Ltd, for US$16.1m before commissions.
