Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Tuesday unveiled a set of 12 new measures designed to tackle bureaucracy and streamline public services, signaling a renewed government focus on administrative reform.

The announcement followed a meeting of the Government Economic Policy Council, during which the measures were finalized and deemed ready for implementation.

“Our goal is to reduce bureaucracy,” Mitsotakis said, emphasizing that the new actions are intended to make the state more efficient and accessible to citizens and businesses alike.

The Prime Minister acknowledged that through the government has already achieved “specific and measurable results” in various sectors, significant bureaucratic hurdles remain.

“There are still many areas where we can make improvements, so that we can place greater emphasis on economic development,” he said.

With the 12-point reform package confirmed, the next step will be to set implementation priorities in coordination with the relevant ministries. Mitsotakis also announced plans to release a comprehensive roadmap for immediate actions, aimed at enhancing the business environment over the coming months.

The reforms are expected to support Greece’s broader strategy for digital transformation, economic competitiveness, and citizen-centric governance.
