More than 1.2 million households in Greece will receive this year’s heating allowance, as the government confirmed that both the amounts and eligibility criteria remain unchanged for the 2025–2026 winter season.

The distribution of heating oil will begin on October 15, with prices expected to start at €1.15 per liter. Meanwhile, the MyΘέρμανση (MyThermansi) online platform—where households must apply for the subsidy—is expected to open in November, ahead of the first payments before Christmas.

A Joint Ministerial Decision defining the full details of the program is expected by the end of October, with the total budget exceeding €195 million.
