Greece-based and New York-listed Diana Shipping, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, has extended the time charter contract with Solebay Shipping Cape Company Limited, Hong Kong, for one of its capesize dry bulk vessels.

Solebay hired the 174,261-dwt capesize dry bulk vessel Semirio built in 2007.

The vessel is chartered for a gross charter rate of $21,650 minus a 5.00% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum January 31, 2027, up to maximum April 15, 2027.

The new charter period is expected to begin on March 15, 2026. The Semirio is currently chartered at a gross charter rate of $16,650 per day, minus a 5.00% commission paid to third parties.
