Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias arrived in the United States on Sunday, November 16, for a series of strategic meetings focused on defense, robotics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. His visit includes stops in San Diego and San Francisco, engaging with leading military and academic research centers.
On Monday, November 17, Dendias will visit the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC) in San Diego. The center is internationally recognized for its work on unmanned aerial and maritime vehicles, advanced information systems, cybersecurity, and secure communications for naval and ground forces.
On Tuesday, November 18, he will travel to Stanford University, where he will tour the Stanford Platform Lab within the Computer Science Department and meet with professors and researchers. The lab specializes in large-scale infrastructure, software platforms, and automation technologies. Dendias will also visit the Hoover Institution at Stanford to meet with academic leaders and institute administrators.
