The total movements of goods in Greek ports showed downward trends in the second quarter, while the movement of passengers and vehicles was marginally increased, in accordance with the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data on traffic of passengers, goods and mobile units in the Greek ports for the second quarter 2025.

The total movements of goods in Greek ports in the second quarter 2025 decreased by 3.9% compared with the second quarter of 2024. An increase of 1.4% was recorded at the corresponding comparison of the second quarter of 2024 with the second quarter of 2023.

In the second quarter this year, Greek ports handled 34,914,350 tonnes, a decrease of -3.9%, compared to the same period in 2024 (36,333,799 tonnes).

Domestic movements of goods in Greek ports amounted to 8,668,761 tonnes (+6.3%) whilst international movements of goods reached 26,245,589 tonnes (-6.9% compared to the same quarter in 2024).
