Great Eastern Shipping shuffles fleet with sale of VLGC, new purchases

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) is optimising its fleet by selling the Jag Vishnu, acquiring a second-hand VLGC and an ultramax dry bulk carrier, and divesting one kamsarmax, all aimed for completion in Q4 FY26.

G E Shipping has contracted to sell its 2002-built very large gas carrier (VLGC) Jag Vishnu to an unaffiliated third party, the company said in a stock exchange filling on December 26.

The 77,922 cbm vessel will be delivered to the buyer in the fourth quarter of FY26.

According to the disclosure, the agreement to sell Jag Vishnu was executed on December 26, 2025.
