‘Is back again’: Atlantica Shipping re-enters dry bulk sector

The Norwegian shipping company Atlantica Shipping AS signalled its re-entrance into the dry bulk sector after the delivery of a kamsarmax in January.

The shipowner announced via social media that the 2011-built kamsarmax Atlantica Star was handed over to the company on January 23.

“After selling our last 3 supramaxes in second half 2024, we are back in dry bulk, and are pleased to inform that we have taken delivery of the 2011-built kamsarmax Atlantica Star on January 23,” the owner stated in its post.

The vessel will be under technical management by Greek bulker specialist A.M Nomikos.

Earlier this year, the company delivered the boxship Atlantica Power to its new owners. Previously, the company sold its last two 2009-built
