According to TerraPay, this initiative highlights the companies’ joint goal to streamline financial operations for businesses operating in Latin America and other regions.

TerraPay Network global head and vice-president Hassan Chatila said: “Together with Cobre, we have unlocked a new era of faster, transparent and more reliable cross-border payments across Latin America.

The partnership with TerraPay positions Cobre to assist companies in managing the multifaceted aspects of cross-border payments, including regulatory compliance, management of treasury, technological integration, and settlement.

Cobre co-founder and CEO Jose Gedeon said: “Our partnership with TerraPay proves the impact of combining local expertise with a global payments network.

“Moving millions of dollars in 2025 shows that companies across the region are demanding faster, safer, and more efficient international payments.”

In July 2025, Blue Remit, a digital remittance subsidiary of Al Ansari Financial Services PJSC, entered into a partnership with TerraPay to strengthen its payout network.

In May, TerraPay partnered with Wave Mobile Money to enhance cross-border remittance services, allowing Malians to receive funds from abroad directly into their Wave mobile wallets.

This move integrates TerraPay’s international payment network with remittance inflows from Money Transfer Operators in North America and Europe into Mali.
