McKinnon specialises in energy, utilities and renewables, construction, land and property, higher education, and the charity and not-for-profit sectors.

Henderson Loggie tax head Kimberley Thomson said: “Jay’s depth of knowledge in VAT and indirect taxes, particularly across energy and property, will be a tremendous asset to the firm.

“Her appointment reflects our commitment to investing in the very best expertise so that the businesses and organisations we work with can adapt confidently to regulatory changes, and plan for sustainable growth.”

In March last year, Henderson Loggie appointed Stephen Dodds as its new tax director.

The appointment was part of the company’s strategy to expand its tax advisory services across Scotland’s central belt.
