Wan Hai orders South Korean newbuilding 16,000-teu dual-fuel quartet | Container news
Taiwan-based Wan Hai Lines Ltd has reported the acquisition of four methanol dual fuel ready vessels. The company has inked a contract for four dual-fuel methanol-ready container ships with South Korean HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd. and Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd in a deal worth up to $816.00m.
Specifically, the company Wan Hai Lines (Singapore) Pte Ltd is adding to its fleet portfolio two methanol dual fuel ready full-container vessels with capacity around 16,000 TEU.
The total transaction amount for the two vessels is $372.98m to $408.00m, and the price includes the upgrade of the equipment on the vessels.
As it is reported, the trading counterparty is HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd., whilst the payment will be arranged based on the contract.
Meanwhile, the company announced the acquisition of two methanol dual fuel ready full-container vessels with capacity around 16,000 TEU.
The total transaction amount for the two vessels is $375.26m to $408.00m, and the price includes upgrade of the equipment on the vessels.
As it is reported, the trading counterparty is Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. Totally for the four vessels purchased the amount is between $748.24m to $816.00m.
The company didn’t disclose the delivery dates of the vessels described in the contract signed between the parties.
