Hiab to invest over US$20 million in expanding and modernising Raisio Multilift facility

Hiab is committing €19 million (US$21.3 million) to expand and modernise its Multilift demountables production site in Raisio, Finland.

The investment aims to upgrade both the production and office facilities, integrate energy-efficient technologies to lower energy consumption, and create a new showroom space.

Construction is scheduled to begin in autumn 2025, with project completion expected by 2027.

As the new complex will be built separately from the existing facilities, current operations at the Raisio site are not expected to face any disruptions. The investment for this year is included in Hiab’s projected capital expenditure for 2025, which totals approximately EUR 80 million, excluding acquisitions.

Hermanni Lyyski, President of Demountables and Defence, said this strategic investment will boost production capacity, enhance employee well-being, and the sustainability agenda.

Also, Jussi Peltoniemi, Operations Director at Hiab Raisio, added that the Raisio plant, established in its current form between the late 1970s and early 1980s, has been operating in the same area since the late 1950s.
