LOGISTEED launches off-site PPA electricity procurement

LOGISTEED, has announced the rollout of a new off-site Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) program to supply renewable electricity to logistics centers operated by its group company, LOGISTEED East Japan, Ltd.

The off-site PPA arrangement allows LOGISTEED to purchase solar-generated electricity from remote facilities, enabling the use of clean energy even at locations where installing solar panels on-site is not feasible due to structural limitations.

This initiative falls under LOGISTEED Group’s broader decarbonization strategy, which targets five key areas: energy saving, electrification, renewable energy procurement, energy creation, and emissions trading. Until now, the group has focused primarily on “on-site PPA” solutions—installing solar panels directly on facility rooftops. The shift to off-site procurement expands their reach and strengthens their renewable energy portfolio.

Looking ahead, the company plans to internally distribute surplus electricity produced at its logistics centers to other facilities within the LOGISTEED network. This intra-group sharing of renewable energy is expected to further boost the group’s environmental value.
