Swire Shipping to implement GRI for for Europe, United Kingdom and South Africa to Pacific Islands
Swire Shipping has announced a general rate increase (GRI) for cargo transported on its Pacific Islands Container Express, specifically the MAERSK YELLOWSTONE 523S / 528N rotation. The adjustment will come into effect on 1 August 2025.

The move comes in response to ongoing escalations in operating costs and vessel charter rates. Swire emphasized that the rate increase is essential to sustain the company’s market-leading port coverage and service reliability across the trade lane.
The surcharge will be applied to all cargo shipped under this rotation and will be collected together with the ocean freight.
