Tsuneishi Shipbuilding acquires Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding

Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has officially acquired 100% of the shares in Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., making the company a wholly owned subsidiary. The strategic move marks a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between the two companies, which first entered into a capital alliance in October 2021.

In conjunction with the acquisition, Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding has been renamed Tsuneishi Solutions Tokyobay Co., Ltd., a change that took effect on June 26. The rebranding reflects a closer alignment with Tsuneishi Shipbuilding’s long-term vision and business integration strategy.

The two companies have already been working together to leverage combined strengths in cost competitiveness and technological innovation. According to Tsuneishi, the decision to pursue full ownership was driven by a shared goal of securing sustainable growth and strengthening competitiveness in an evolving global shipbuilding landscape.

Looking ahead, Tsuneishi Shipbuilding and Tsuneishi Solutions Tokyobay plan to deepen their collaboration, aiming to maximize operational synergies and further enhance overall corporate value.
