Goltens partners with Orcan Energy

Goltens Worldwide, a global leader in marine repair, retrofit, and green technologies, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Munich-based cleantech innovator Orcan Energy AG. The collaboration makes Goltens a preferred engineering and installation partner for Orcan’s Marine Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems.
Orcan’s class-approved ORC systems convert low-temperature waste heat from ship engines into clean electrical energy. Under the new agreement, Goltens will provide global engineering, project management, installation, and commissioning services for these modular systems, helping shipowners meet efficiency and emissions targets set by EEXI, CII, and FuelEU Maritime regulations.
“This partnership with Goltens is a major milestone in expanding the reach of our ORC technology in the marine sector,” said Andreas Sichert, CEO of Orcan Energy.
Sandeep Seth, CEO of Goltens Worldwide, added: “Our alliance with Orcan Energy reinforces Goltens’ mission to drive decarbonization through cutting-edge retrofits. Orcan’s ORC systems deliver a compelling solution for improving vessel performance while reducing emissions, and we’re proud to integrate and support these systems globally.”
Through its worldwide network of engineering and service hubs, Goltens will offer feasibility studies, engineering assessments, installation design, and full turnkey retrofit execution. The partnership further strengthens Goltens’ role as a key player in maritime decarbonization.
