China-India capacity expands in line with bilateral trade

Several intra-Asia carriers have enhanced their China-India connections to tap into growing Chinese exports to India. Evergreen Marine Corporation (EMC) and Emirates Shipping Line have started a China-India Express service to connect southern China with the Indian west coast.
Marketed as China Subcontinent Express (CSX) by EMC and China-India Express Service 8 (CIX8) by ESL, the service started on 13 July, using six 4,600-6,000 TEU ships calling Qingdao, Xiamen, Nansha, Dachan Bay, Port Klang, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, and Mundra.
