WiseTech acquires E2open

WiseTech Global has officially completed its acquisition of U.S.-based E2open in a US$2.1 billion deal, paid in cash and fully funded through a new syndicated debt facility.

The deal brings together two major players in the supply chain and logistics tech space. WiseTech, known for its CargoWise platform, now expands its reach beyond logistics service providers into broader global trade.

“This is a big step toward becoming the operating system for global trade and logistics,” said WiseTech CEO Zubin Appoo. He called E2open a “strategic acquisition” with little product overlap and a strong global customer base.

With E2open’s cloud-based solutions, WiseTech gains new capabilities in trade planning, demand, and transportation management for shippers, importers, exporters, and manufacturers.

Both companies emphasized their focus on seamless integration and ongoing support for customers. Appoo noted WiseTech’s experience with over 55 prior acquisitions, saying they’ll take a phased, value-driven approach.

E2open CEO Andrew Appel described the deal as a “pivotal moment,” expressing confidence in the new chapter ahead.
