Dole Ocean Cargo Express to implement terminal handling charge

Dole Ocean Cargo Express will implement a terminal handling charge due to increased operating costs at the Port of Puerto Barrios, Guatemala.

The new charge will apply to both import and export shipments through Puerto Barrios, as well as all cargo transiting to and from El Salvador.

The Terminal Handling Charge will be: US$50 per container, regardless of size or type including reefer, dry, and non-operating units.

This charge will apply to all containers received on or after August 31, 2025, under both service contracts and tariff shipments.
