Successful launch of Qinzhou–Jakarta–Semarang sea-rail intermodal service

On 28 August 2025, SITC Logistics Indonesia successfully completed the inaugural sea-rail intermodal transport from Jakarta to Semarang. A train fully loaded with SITC containers departed Jakarta and reached the Semarang Freight Terminal the next day. All cargo was delivered to the factory within three days, with empty containers promptly returned.
The trial run demonstrated efficient, timely, and reliable transportation while validating the feasibility of integrating sea-rail logistics within Indonesia’s supply chain. SITC Logistics Indonesia plans to leverage this service to optimize operations, expand service models, and develop sustainable logistics solutions.
