ADSB and Kongsberg to upgrade Kuwait Coast Guard Waterjets

Fleet Modernisation
ADSB will fit 13 Kuwait Coast Guard vessels with Kongsberg Kamewa waterjets. Ten vessels will have existing systems replaced, and three will be retrofitted.

Advanced Technology
The upgrade includes 13 shipsets of S63-4 waterjets, Jet Control Systems (Extended), and power packs. Installation will run from Q1 2026 to Q1 2027.

Performance and Support
The new systems will boost fleet performance and reliability. Kongsberg Maritime will provide full lifecycle support, ensuring long-term operational benefits.

Strategic Impact
The project reflects Kuwait Coast Guard’s shift from refurbishment to full replacement. It strengthens ADSB’s naval capabilities and opens new opportunities for Kongsberg in the GCC defence market.
