VIKING to supply new patrol vessels to Norwegian Customs Service

Strengthening Maritime Law Enforcement

VIKING Life-Saving Equipment, a global leader in maritime safety solutions, has signed a contract with Tolletaten (the Norwegian Customs Service) to deliver a new fleet of high-performance patrol and fast response boats.

The new vessels will enhance Tolletaten’s maritime enforcement and inspection capabilities across Norwegian waters. The deal further strengthens VIKING’s role as a trusted supplier to Nordic authorities and maritime professionals worldwide.

Advanced Fleet with Superior Performance

The agreement includes four VIKING Norsafe boats: one Marathon S-900, powered by twin 350 HP Mercury engines, and three Munin S-1400 patrol boats, each fitted with triple 500 HP Mercury engines.

Built for speed, control, and endurance, the vessels are designed for demanding professional operations. Deliveries are set for 2026 and 2027, with options for additional units. The total contract value is approximately NOK 43 million.

The VIKING Norsafe Marathon and Munin series are engineered for speed, precision, and reliability. Their advanced hull designs and powerful Mercury propulsion systems deliver rapid acceleration and control, even in rough seas.

Both models feature shock-mitigation technology and flexible deck layouts, ensuring crew safety and operational efficiency during long patrols and enforcement missions.

Norwegian Design, Global Standards

All vessels will be built at VIKING’s production facilities in Arendal, Norway. The project combines Norwegian maritime design heritage with world-class safety, performance, and quality standards.
