Royal Caribbean begins construction on seventh Oasis Class ship

Royal Caribbean has officially begun construction on its seventh Oasis Class ship, marking the start of a new chapter in the cruise line’s most iconic vessel series. The milestone was celebrated with a steel-cutting ceremony at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, where the first piece of steel was cut for the ship set to debut in 2028.

The event was attended by representatives from Royal Caribbean and Chantiers de l’Atlantique, along with teams of engineers, architects, and designers who will bring the next-generation ship to life.

This latest addition will continue the legacy of innovation established by the Oasis Class — a lineup that began over a decade ago with Oasis of the Seas and most recently expanded with Utopia of the Seas. The new ship promises to deliver unparalleled experiences, combining adventure and relaxation with new dining, entertainment, and leisure options to be unveiled in the coming months.

Royal Caribbean said that further details, including the vessel’s name, will be announced at a later date.
