CB Customs Broker and heyworld to merge
CB Customs Broker and heyworld, both Lufthansa Cargo subsidiaries, will merge on January 1, 2026. The new company will combine CB Customs Broker’s EU customs expertise with heyworld’s digital cross-border eCommerce logistics platform. The goal is to create a single, integrated provider for parcel-level cross-border logistics.
The merger will offer customers a one-stop solution. Shippers handling high volumes of cross-border parcels will benefit from faster customs processing, seamless digital services, and efficient transport solutions. The combined model will improve speed, visibility, and performance across the supply chain.
“This merger marks a key milestone in our strategy to expand beyond airport-to-airport services,” said Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo AG. “By uniting complementary strengths, we are creating a unique offer in cross-border parcel logistics. This move strengthens our market position and enables us to deliver even more value for our customers.”
The new entity will be led jointly by Murat Odabas, Managing Director of CB Customs Broker, and Nikola Todic, Managing Director of heyworld GmbH. Both leaders will focus on a smooth transition and continued high-quality service.
“I look forward to bringing both teams together and delivering seamless service for our customers,” said Odabas. Todic added, “By combining our capabilities, we can offer smarter, fully integrated solutions and continue driving innovation.”
Lufthansa Cargo extended its thanks to Uwe Glunz of CB Customs Broker and Boris Hueske of heyworld GmbH for their leadership and contributions. Both executives will take on new roles within the Lufthansa Cargo Group.
