Major refurbishment of MSC Magnifica underway in Malta Shipyard

MSC Cruises has commenced a major refurbishment of the MSC Magnifica, marking the start of an extensive enhancement programme designed to elevate the onboard experience for guests. The vessel, which entered service in 2010, is the first of two Musica Class ships to undergo such an upgrade at Palumbo Malta Shipyard.

The comprehensive works will introduce the MSC Yacht Club — featuring 63 new luxury suites, two specialty dining venues (Butcher’s Cut and Kaito Sushi Bar), and a fully upgraded MSC Aurea Spa and Technogym® Fitness Centre. The fitness area will include a Gentleman’s Barber, dedicated workout studios, and an outdoor Aurea relaxation space.

The project is scheduled for completion by December 2025, with the full MSC Yacht Club experience debuting in Summer 2026 as MSC Magnifica begins sailing Northern Europe itineraries.
