Queclink launches smart bolt-seal to boost container security

Queclink Wireless Solutions has introduced the GES100CG, an ISO 17712-compliant smart bolt-seal designed to enhance container security. The device features advanced connectivity and positioning technology to detect tampering, send real-time alerts, and track containers carrying high-value cargo.

Alejandro Patino, Queclink VP of Global Sales, explained the device cannot be reassembled once broken, unlike conventional bolt-seals, and immediately notifies users if tampering occurs. It uses LTE Cat-1 bis (4G) with GSM fallback and GNSS/LBS positioning for global coverage. Alerts are buffered if the device is out of network range and sent once reconnected.

The seal operates continuously for about 90 days, includes a low-battery warning, and features IP67-rated, tamper-resistant casing. By providing real-time monitoring, the GES100CG helps shipping companies, freight forwarders, and port operators move from passive sealing to active, connected cargo integrity assurance, reducing theft, damage, and contamination risks.
