Maersk delivers strong Q3 results
A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S reported strong financial results for the third quarter of 2025, reflecting operational efficiency, disciplined cost control, and growth across all business segments. Based on its performance, Maersk has refined its full-year 2025 guidance, raising the lower end of expectations.
The company’s revenue reached USD 14.2 billion, while EBITDA and EBIT stood at USD 2.7 billion and USD 1.3 billion respectively. Global container market growth is now estimated at around 4%, up from the previous 2–4% range.

The new East-West network has strengthened our Ocean performance, delivering industry-leading reliability, higher volumes and lower costs. Terminals achieved another record quarter with strong volume growth, and Logistics & Services continued to enhance profitability. As market conditions fluctuate, we are well positioned to help our customers adapt and maintain stability across their supply chains,” said Vincent Clerc, CEO at Maersk.
Segment Performance
Ocean:
The Gemini Cooperation enabled 7% year-on-year volume growth, supported by stable freight rates and lower operating costs. EBIT rose to USD 567 million, up from USD 229 million in Q2.
Logistics & Services:
Profitability improved to 5.5%, driven by cost optimization and growth in warehousing under Fulfilled by Maersk. EBIT increased to USD 218 million, compared to USD 175 million in the previous quarter.
Terminals:
Terminals achieved record-high volumes, revenue, and profitability, with an 8.7% volume increase and utilisation reaching 89%. EBIT rose to USD 571 million, from USD 461 million in Q2.
During the quarter, Maersk distributed USD 578 million to shareholders through share buybacks, reaffirming its strong capital position and focus on long-term value creation.
