Maersk announces closure of container depot in Geneva

A. P. Moller – Maersk has announced that it will cease operations at its Geneva inland depot effective 3 November 2025. The facility will no longer handle cargo related to Maersk bookings, and affected customers have already been notified along with alternative arrangements for their shipments.

The decision is part of Maersk’s broader initiative to streamline inland services across Switzerland, aligning operations with customer needs and optimizing network efficiency.

Maersk confirmed that it will continue to offer reliable logistics services through its depots in Frenkendorf, Basel, and Birsfelden, where operations remain unchanged.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring supply chain continuity and encouraged customers to contact their local Maersk representatives for further assistance or inquiries.
