CEVA Logistics opens new Amazon fulfillment center in Brazil

CEVA Logistics has inaugurated a new Amazon fulfillment center in Santa Maria, Federal District, Brazil. The 67,000 m² facility is located about 30 kilometers from Brasília. It will handle up to 135,000 packages per day, helping Amazon Brazil reach customers faster and more efficiently.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together Federal District Governor Ibaneis Rocha, public officials, Amazon executives, and CEVA leadership. This is Amazon’s 15th fulfillment center in Brazil and its second in the Federal District. The project will create over 1,400 local jobs and boost the region’s eCommerce sector.

The facility features advanced inventory management systems and automated storage and control technologies. It operates on a 24-hour service model to ensure speed, accuracy, and reliability. CEVA also integrated sustainability practices to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible resource use.

CEVA’s team completed the operational setup in just 11 weeks, meeting Amazon’s tight schedule. By using automation, analytics, and strict safety standards, the center improves productivity, predictability, and service quality across Amazon’s supply chain in Brazil.

Alejandro Olivera, Contract Logistics Leader for LATAM at CEVA, said, “This inauguration confirms Brasília as a strategic logistics hub. With Amazon, we are raising standards in safety, efficiency, and technology while supporting local jobs and sustainable growth.”

Ricardo Pagani, Director of Operations at Amazon Brazil, added, “This expansion brings over 1,400 job opportunities. We continue to strengthen the local economy through AI and technology-driven logistics solutions.”

CEVA is rapidly expanding its contract logistics operations across Brazil. In the past year, the company added over 150,000 m² of warehouse space, bringing its total to nearly 300,000 m². CEVA plans to add another 120,000 m² by the end of 2025 and 200,000 m² in the next three years. By 2028, CEVA expects to operate 620,000 m² of logistics space. The expansion strengthens CEVA’s role as a leading logistics provider, serving sectors such as eCommerce, technology, automotive, beauty, and healthcare.
