CMA CGM introduces PSS from India, Pakistan, Middle East and Red Sea to East Africa

CMA CGM has announced the implementation of a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) effective November 20, 2025 (loading date) and valid until further notice, as part of its efforts to maintain service reliability and operational efficiency.

The surcharge will apply as follows:

  • Origin range: India West Coast, Pakistan, Middle East & Red Sea

  • Destination range: Mombasa, Kenya & Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

  • Cargo: All types

  • Amount: USD 500 per 20′ | USD 750 per 40′

CMA CGM stated that the surcharge reflects the current seasonal demand pressures and aims to ensure continued capacity and schedule integrity on the India–East Africa trade corridor.
