DH Shipbuilding secures extra Suezmax order

This year’s accumulated orders reach approximately KRW 1.47 trillion, about a 20% increase compared to last year.

As the global shipbuilding market sees increasing demand for Suezmax crude oil carriers, DH Shipbuilding has secured another construction contract, further accelerating its strong business performance.

On the 17th, DH Shipbuilding announced that it won an order for one Suezmax crude oil carrier worth approximately KRW 127.4 billion from a shipping company in the Oceania region. This order is an option contract following a previous agreement signed on September 29 for the same type of vessel.

Even before this contract, DH Shipbuilding had already reached its annual order target in October. Including this latest order, the company’s accumulated performance for the year amounts to about KRW 1.47 trillion, an increase of around 20% compared to last year. The current order backlog is equivalent to roughly three years of work.

A representative from DH Shipbuilding stated:
“This order not only confirms our early achievement of the annual target but also serves as a momentum to continue our growth trend. We plan to strengthen our partnerships with clients in the fourth quarter—when ship orders are usually most active—and work toward achieving additional results by the end of the year.”
