GEODIS Expands Its South American Network

GEODIS has strengthened its air freight presence in South America through a newly signed interline agreement with Atlas Air and mas, a partnership designed to expand regional connectivity and provide customers with more reliable and efficient logistics solutions. The move reflects the shared ambition of the three companies to enhance cargo flows across key South American markets.

Under the agreement, GEODIS will broaden its network coverage in Colombia, Brazil, Panama, Chile and Costa Rica, while gaining improved access to direct connections from the Asia–Pacific region, including services from Hong Kong via Mexico. The expanded cooperation is expected to support strong demand in Brazil, identified by GEODIS as one of the region’s most significant growth markets.

The interline arrangement allows the three partners to streamline cargo transfers between their respective flights, enabling smoother, faster and more dependable delivery across South America. By integrating their operational capabilities, GEODIS, Atlas Air and mas aim to offer customers greater flexibility and expanded freighter capacity.

“Airfreight demand in and out of Central and South America has grown by more than 30% over the last 12 months. This interline agreement reinforces our commitment to providing customers with a broader, more reliable network and increased capacity,” said Henri Le Gouis, Executive Vice President, Global Freight Forwarding at GEODIS. “We continue to anticipate market needs and invest in solutions that deliver resilience, efficiency and value across the global supply chain.”

Additionally, Richard Broekman, Chief Commercial Officer at Atlas Air Worldwide, added: “We are pleased to join GEODIS and mas in this strategic interline agreement that strengthens air freight connectivity across South America. As GEODIS expands its network in this growing market, Atlas Air is proud to contribute our expertise and capacity to deliver seamless transfers and reliable service between Asia and South America.”

Robert Van De Weg, CEO of mas, noted: “This agreement highlights the value of collaboration. Together with GEODIS and Atlas Air, we are creating a stronger, more connected air freight network from Asia, delivering greater flexibility and reliability for our customers.”

Moreover, GEODIS said the partnership marks an important step in its long-term investment strategy for South America and demonstrates its commitment to developing innovative, customer-focused logistics solutions. The company plans to continue expanding its regional network and enhancing operational performance in the months ahead.
