Rhenus takes full ownership of Grupo Totalmédia in Portugal

Rhenus has acquired 100% of Grupo Totalmédia, becoming its sole owner effective 1 February 2026. This follows Rhenus’ initial stake acquisition in 2023 and Totalmédia’s rebranding to Rhenus Logistics in 2025.

The acquisition strengthens Rhenus’ position in the Portuguese and Iberian Home Delivery market.
Totalmédia brings 28 years of experience in delivering large and bulky goods across Portugal and Spain.

Rhenus operates Home Delivery services in 14 European countries, handling around 7 million shipments per year.

Launch of Rhenus Overland Portugal

Full ownership enables the creation of Rhenus Overland Portugal, integrating:

• Road Logistics

Operational scale in Portugal

Rhenus Overland Portugal includes:

• 16 platforms (10 owned, 6 subcontracted)

• 400+ employees

• 1,000+ partners

• 3.5 million shipments per year

• 24,000 m² of warehouse space

The new structure allows Rhenus to deliver fully integrated services, covering:

• First mile

• Linehaul

• Last mile

• Warehousing and value-added services
