COSCO SHIPPING, Anjun win Lima airport warehouse concession
COSCO SHIPPING and Anjun have secured the operating rights for the Lima Airport Apron Warehouse Project, strengthening their logistics footprint in South America. The facility is located at Lima International Airport, which handles nearly 90% of Peru’s air cargo and ranks among the region’s busiest aviation hubs.
The project includes a warehouse with direct access to the airport apron, enabling faster cargo handling and turnaround. The facility will offer 11,885 square meters of operational warehouse space, with an additional 5,000 square meters reserved for future expansion. The partners have been granted a 15-year operating concession.
The new warehouse will serve as a regional e-commerce forwarding hub for South America. The logistics ecosystem will be centered around COSCO SHIPPING Ports Chancay Perú, integrating airport infrastructure with port operations.
By linking air and maritime logistics, the project aims to support cost-efficient air freight distribution and last-mile delivery across the continent. The integrated model is expected to significantly reduce logistics costs compared with traditional air freight routes, while improving speed and network connectivity.
